Imperfections perfected!

Woah! I never thought that the metronome would be used so well in a song, haha.

I LOVE how this starts off man, just brilliant. Everything just flows right in and every sound complement each other perfectly.

I'm very happy with all the mixing, I hate how clean all the music is these days... You made it so it has a nice live feel to it.

God that metronome is awesome lol

OH MY DEAR GOD, SWEET JESUS, HOLY MOTHER OF A FATHER FUCKER!!!!!!

it is over 4 years since i submitted this track, and a dude, who i'm proud of and no offence intended, inspired, has got round to a review of my track. thank you mate. I'm so glad you GET IT, it isn't always about production quality. WARMTH is a massive part of my musical remit, that and atmosphere. I am so genuinely surprised to see this review i am nigh on flabbergasted. in all honesty, the record of this track was a genuine fuck up, mixed to the Buss, not the stereo output, the metronome click...not intentional, tho it works great in hindsight. I have serious thoughts of re=doing this track, to give it what i deem justice. this was afterall a track inspired by wintang and builat in hours. i feel i can really make this a stonker.....

THANK YOU FOD

lol wtf

xD

hahaha what in the fuck.

Fucking brilliant man. God you sound like some cheesy ass asain anime voice.

GLAD YOU NOTICED

Jealous once again.

It always surprises me how amazing you are at making such the simplest little plugin like 3xOsc with some effects on top of it sound so not basic. When ever I try to make my own sound, I end up just having some retarded square or saw wave with just pitch/modulation bend. It's like all I know to do lol.

You have definitely mastered the art of synthesis my friend.

The EQ'ing is a little odd to me, not horrible or anything, but it can be better. It seems a little flat (stereo, not like highs and lows), maybe pan more things a little bit more drastically?

This is damn excellent for a game jam, I bet everyone was excited to have you on their fuckin team. Perfect music for a fighting game. Awesome melody and chord progressions btw.

Rig responds:

Yeah, the EQing could be better. My excuse is that I was wearing open-backed headphones in a noisy room, so THERE.
The stereo spread is pretty close in because it'll be played through arcade cabinet speakers. When you're gaming, you're not paying attention to the spread, you're paying attention to the screen. That's called MASTERING. :3

And yeah, my team said the best part about the game was the music, hehe.

Thanks for the review!

MY most favorite song ever.

I love the long intro, creepy and suspenseful. Then the gabber fuckfest begins and for some reason I just fuckin love it.

I don't know if this is supposed to be a joke or you actually took this seriously, but I like it.

I'll probably regret saying this but in some kind of way this is an art. It isn't "the greatest masterpiece ever" but it's really cool and different.

Or maybe its complete shit and I'm too open minded :P lol

I can only thank you for your support. We need more people like you on this earth.

Sounds dirty in a good way.

I love the reese/bass sounds crunchy and dirty.

Pretty good for just a fooling around on FL song. How long did this take?

Rig responds:

An hour or two. :D

Just outstanding.

Right when that first chord played, I was hooked. I love the sound of your guitar man, sounds so thick and delicious. This piece is so addicting!

Great melodies and arpeggios. Just played so perfect.

The one thing that bugs me though, is the drums. They are oddly mastered. Just something about them make them noticeably fake. The drum samples them selves are great, I just think you need turn up the mid of them up a little and even the high side.

I could be wrong, I'm no professional.

GREAT JOB MAN! I'M A HUGE FAN OF YOUR MUSIC! Keep it up. :)

Thanks for review :)
Well, I tried a different approach for recording this time. I recorded the acoustic guitar with microphone on one line and piezo/ line in on another at the same time and made very different EQ on them. This worked as I wanted.

Drums... well, I wanted the 80s sound (Phil Collins, Madonna, A-Ha... Bonnie Tyler) and tweak every day on them. This didn't worked as I wanted :(
Eh, well, next update/ edit...

Thanks again for feedback.
